It started in 1981 with a 10-year-old boy. That 10 year old boy wanted run a race, a 6.2 mile a race or as we runners say a 10K. Rob was always very athletic and if he said he was going to do it, then he did it. At the time, the Bolder Boulder was in its 3rd year and was just getting started as a premier 10K in the area. In 2003, the Bolder Boulder is celebrating its 25th anniversary and has grown into one of the most run 10K’s in the world. The race attracts more than 45,000 runners from all over the world to compete for one of the largest non-marathon prize purses in road racing. What makes this race special this year is that it falls on May 26th, Rob’s 32nd birthday. As a tribute to him, Uncle Steve & Neil will be joined by Rob’s Colorado friends (Knuck & Chrissy) and we will run that race for (with) Rob and it will be another day of celebration. Please see the link to the Bolder-Boulder and see the picture of Rob crossing the finish line in 1981 as that fresh faced little boy, running his heart out. Be with us on that special day in thoughts and prayers and GO ROB!!!!!
